Debra Wade
Studio owner Debra Wade was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. Debra was introduced to Pilates in 1994 at a personal training convention. Anxious to learn more about this incredible form of exercise, she went home to Virginia Beach to find an instructor. Unfortunately, no one had ever heard of Pilates. Debra moved to Richmond, Virginia six months later, found a certified instructor and started taking private lessons.
Debra got her Pilates certification through The Physical Mind Institute two years later and started teaching mat classes at two different locations in Richmond. She also introduced Pilates to Capital Physical Therapy Associates, and developed an exercise program with the firm's existing patients to help them reach optimal function in their daily lives. Debra moved to Huntsville in 2001 and opened Body Re-Form Pilates Fitness Studio in 2002 as a fully equipped Pilates studio. She is certified Pilates instructor through Peak Pilates, a certified personal trainer through AFAA, and a Yamuna Body Rolling instructor. She is an advanced practitioner in Directional Healing, an energy healing therapy and a healing system called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). She offers private instruction in Pilates, Directional Healing and EFT. Classes are regularly offered in Yamuna Body Rolling. Debra and her husband have two grown children and two dogs. She enjoys traveling, gardening, hiking, and especially Pilates!
Annette Beresford
Annette, a native of Australia, moved to Huntsville 2002. Annette was introduced to Pilates here in Huntsville and went to Springfield, Missouri to become certified through Stott Pilates in both Reformer and Mat. Annette moved to Virginia in 2003 for two years and while living in Virginia, she also became a certified YogaFit instructor. Annette has been practicing yoga for 11 years and teaching yoga for the past 4 years.
Crista Conwell
Crista is a Huntsville native. She graduated from Falkner University in 2001 with a degree in Business Administration and worked 3 years for the University's admission and financial aid office. She also worked 5 years at Huntsville Hospital in the cardiology department as an EKG and stress lab tech. Married with two daughters, Crista has also worked with her husband, a local lawyer. In 2005, Crista began taking Pilates classes and fell in love with this form of exercise. She received her certification to teach Mat classes in 2008 and has since Certified with Peak Pilates, PPS Level 1. Crista teaches group mat and reformer classes and private sessions.
Lannette Spencer
Lannette was born and raised in Birmingham, Al. She attended Auburn
University majoring in Public Relations/Journalism. After marrying,
Lannette and her husband have lived in Charleston, SC, Baton Rouge, LA
and Atlanta, Ga before finally planting roots in Decatur, Al over 20 years ago. Being a dancer since a young age, Lannete has been involved in different forms of fitness for over 30 years. Lannette discovered Pilates
while visiting a studio in New York. Lannette starting taking private Pilates session and decided to become certified. Lannette is certified
in Pilates mat and is training to become certified on the equipment.
Lannette and her husband have 2 sons and 1 daughter. She loves traveling, dancing and painting.
